An RC Cola and a Moon Pie!!

Hey Y'all!

What a crazy week! Many things have happened.  It has been a very busy time, full of teaching, finding, religious revenge, a funeral, meetings, smartphones and yes an RC Cola and a Moon Pie.

Brothers and Sisters..... you might think you've figured out life, you might even think you are successful in life....but I can tell you....you are not until you've had an RC Cola and a Moon Pie.  I thought I had tried pretty much everything that the south had to offer.  I have had shrimp n grits, frog legs, gator tail (good), low county boil, boiled okra (nasty), good and bad fried chicken (either way, no thanks), boiled peanuts, fried steak, pecan pie, fish fry, black eyed peas and collard greens (New Years tradition) and many more things.....EXCEPT for an RC Cola and a Moon Pie.   So...after a long day of biking and teaching in a little Ol' town called Broxten, GA, I just had to try this tasty treat.  Let me tell you guys.... it was quite the delicious treat!  I encourage you to try these two things together.  I promise you that you will not be disappointed and will have a great day!

Now enough of talking about the good fixins of the south.   I want to share a little bit about my favorite gospel subject....  The Plan of Salvation...also known as the Plan of Happiness.

The Plan of Salvation tells us where we came from, what our purpose here in this life is, and where we are going.   Not everyone knows about this plan.   I have met so many people that don't understand what happens to us when we die.   Our loving, merciful God doesn't want us to be confused.  He wants us to understand his plan for us...to not fear or wonder what will happen.  God has clearly told us this through his prophets.  (Amos 3:7)

In the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 15, the Apostle Paul talks with plainness about what happens after death.   In the Book of Mormon, the Prophet Alma teaches us that after we die there is a place called the Spirit World, where those who have not had the opportunity to hear the gospel can be taught.  They will have a chance to to accept the fullness of the gospel and be received into a state of never-ending happiness.

I don't know about you, but I want that never ending happiness!!!

I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has given us clear principles and doctrines that we can abide by to find happiness.   This is made possible through the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Nephi 31:21
And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God.  And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end.  Amen.

Those who already know about this plan, I encourage you to study it again and don't every take it for granted.  Those who know little of God's Plan of Salvation, I encourage you to learn about it and pray about it.   Ask God, in sincere prayer, if it is true and how it can benefit your life.
I know it's true!  As missionaries we teach this every day and sometimes every hour!  You might think it would get boring, but I can tell you it does NOT.

Here's another one of my favorite hymns
The Spirit of God

Chorus

Short and Sweet.....

Hey guys!

Happy March!!!  March is a wonderful month!   My 20th birthday, my 1 year point in my mission, my  amazing dad's birthday, my brother's birthday and my Aunt Paige and Uncle Todd's birthday!

Well, a transfer has come and gone.   I have left the sweet state of South Carolina.  I will miss so many wonderful people in North Augusta.   I have learned so much from many of the people that I met there and hope to remember their kind words of wisdom.

I am, as they say, back to my roots.  Back to an area close to where I began my mission, Douglas, Georgia.   Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, there is no place on earth quite like the great state of Georgia.  I am grateful to continue the work here!   Thank you all for your continued prayers!

Sorry this is so short!  Since today was transfer day, we don't have much computer time.  Have an amazing week!

Love
Elder McGee
